Illuminating the Word
Illuminating the Word, The Saint John’s Bible from Saint John’s Abbey in Collegeville is available now at the Cloister Gift Shop. Five books of the seven part series
of biblical calligraphy reprints at the shop are Gospel and Acts, Psalms, Prophets, Pentateuch and Wisdom. ($64.95 each)
These full color, hard-cover texts are a meaningful gift of great beauty that can be handed down for generations. Each is a piece of history, marking the first commissioned manuscript of the Bible since the printing press.
In addition, the Gift Shop carries portfolios of 10 cards of some of the acclaimed images illuminating these books ($13.95) and a colorful coffee table introduction to the Saint John's Bible ($9.95).
