Founding Day, June 22, 2023 As we prepare to celebrate with friends and family on Saturday, June 24, (I hope that you can join us!) we reflect on the courage of our founding members to choose to found a new community. We thank God for their vocations. Some people provide a DNA sample in order to learn more about their ancestry. The gospel of John 15:1-8, speaks of our spiritual family tree. Jesus uses the analogy of a vine and its branches. This image describes the relationship that exists between Jesus and his followers.
