Reminiscing Sister Rademacher

Reminiscing Sister Rademacher

Where have all the sisters gone? Do I reminisce when my heart feels empty? My love for the Monastery and these lovely people, I was educated every moment I spent with them. Educated about the spirit of life in the moment.

First, welcoming me as someone special, spending time to chat or pray or attend Mass with them.

One Sister was always close to me in all these times, Sister Marie Rademacher.

We became friends when I taught exercises in the health care facility. She was full of energy and focus.

Whenever I came to the Monastery for any reason, she found me and always asked, “How is your hubby?” When I pointed her face out on a monastery photo of all the nuns, he referred of her as ‘the one with the chubby cheeks’. I think he found her special too.

If there was an event or any gathering I attended, she wanted me to sit next to her.

I performed several mini concerts at the piano in healthcare. She would plant her chair so close to my left that I asked her to move her chair away a bit to give my left arm room to move around the keyboard.

Sister Marie has left earth and onto the joy of heaven, but she will always be a part of my sweet and lovely memories.
